While shopping around and price checking a long out-of print collaboration of Robert Fripp and The ORB, I stumbled upon this strange little gem. Someone had posted a Demo/ Outtakes version of the FFWD album (1994). Fripp’s work has been very much absent from online MP3 availability (iTunes, Amazon etc…) Chances of owning legal copies of King Crimson releases appear nowhere, is this a denial of digital downloads or narcissism on the part of Mr. Fripp? When I was younger, I sort of worshiped the guy. Now that I wish to purchase and upgrade some of my worn out cassettes from yesteryear, I find a MP3 void. No legal MP3 copy of King Crimson “USA” to be found. Shame really, pity for the customer. I once had a song title idea bopping around at some point, that of “I’ve given Robert Fripp Enough of My Money.” I guess re-posting this YouTube clip is an extension of that feeling, enjoy.
